Development Alternatives Group CEO Shrashtant Patara visited and interacted with the SPV members of IMEDF's SFURTI Lac and other NTFP Cluster in Kamdara Block of Gumla district, Jharkhand on January 30th 2025

Development Alternatives (DA) and Indian Micro Enterprises Development Foundation(IMEDF) and Vigyan Ashram jointly organized a workshop titled "Empowering Rural Innovations through Market Linkages for SEED (Science for Equity Empowerment and Development) supported organizations as a part of project TAP RISE (Technology Acceleration Platform for Rural Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship)

Karigar Gatha, an exhibition and sale of exclusive products of Ministry of MSME's SFURTI clusters has been organised at National Crafts Museum, Pragati Maidan from January 11th till January 20th 2025, where by IMEDF'S Bamboo Craft Cluster has participated and the inauguration event has been graced by Hon' Governor of Uttar Pradesh Smt Anandiben Patel.

IMEDF participated in the international conference on “Just Transition to Net Zero – Role of Bamboo in the SAARC Region” at Deventure Sarovar Portico, Kapas Hera, New Delhi, organized by Foundation for MSME Clusters (FMC) . The event marked a significant step toward promoting bamboo as a sustainable development tool across SAARC countries, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, financial institutions, and civil society representatives to foster meaningful dialogue.

IMEDF SFURTI CSWS Matcraft Cluster of West Bengal under the label Medini Handicrafts, Natural Dye Cluster of Rajasthan under the label Urmul Deserts Craft, Dindori cold pressed oil cluster of Madhya Pradesh under the label Chokha and Medicinal Plants cluster of Uttar Pradesh have participated in the TARAgram Mela 2024.

As a part of the Capacity building vertical, IMEDF conducted its 3 days "Rural Collective Enterprises Immersion Program" in Bajju, Bikaner from 2nd to 4th December 2024 where 13 participants including 3 guest speakers from 13 organizations in the development sector holding various positions attended the program.

Col Raman Thapar, General Manager, IMEDF was invited as a panelist at the National level Workshop on Moringa-based Livelihoods by GIZ and Ministry of Rural Development, Govt of India on 22nd October, 2024 in New Delhi. The workshop is part of Million Plus Livelihoods, a special initiative of DAY-NRLM to promote adoption of moringa cultivation among women Self Help Groups.

As part of its capacity-building vertical, IMEDF conducted its fourth online workshop on October 23, 2024. The theme of the workshop was 'Insights into a Project Report'. 15 organisations including students from five academic institutions participated in the workshop.

Indian Micro Enterprise Development Foundation, a special purpose vehicle of Development Alternatives group, has organized the third online workshop in the series especially designed for enterprises, clusters and Small Scale Entrepreneurs. The workshop was conducted on July 30th, 2024 .

IMEDF’S SFURTI Channapatna lacware toy cluster participated in the National Toybiz exhibition from July 6th 2024 till July 9th 2024 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Aim was to explore the partnership opportunities for B to B linkages.

Buyer Seller meet was organized by Shree Biligiri Rangaswamy Soligara Samskarana Sangha (Special Purpose Vehicle) of BR Hills Wild Honey SFURTI Cluster of IMEDF on June 15th and June 16th 2024. Major aim was to promote sustainable livelihood practices of the Soliga tribal community and to facilitate mutually beneficial partnerships for marketing.

Charaka Mahila Vividoddesha Kaigarika Sahakaara sangha, the Special Purpose Vehicle of IMEDF SFURTI" The Natural Dye Cluster", in collaboration with Desi Trust and Ragi Kana has organized Exhibition at International Center in Bangalore from 17th May till 21st May 2024. Highlights included sale and exhibition of handloom and art products, seminar on rural livelihoods.

IMEDF under its Capacity Building vertical conducted a three-hour online workshop on - Marketing Solutions for Enterprises in the F & B sector on 11th June, 2024, for 15+ participants from 10 organizations.
